Labradorite is a remarkable stone that appears a luminous grey when viewed from one angle, but when rotated can flash the most remarkable shimmer of color, like the aurora borealis. Because the iridized color flash is caused by light refracting from submicroscopic (really, really teeny tiny) layers of minerals, each stone has a completely different flash pattern and color mix- though this set is all in the blue/green range of shades.
